A closer look at Project Redshift
Project Redshift is a 2.5D sci-fi Metroidvania about a forgotten archive robot, a dying star and a world split between two speeds of time.

Alpha in-game capture. Work in progress, not final.
We recently announced Project Redshift, the first original game we've announced. Here's a little more about what we're making.
Project Redshift is a 2.5D sci-fi Metroidvania. You play ARC-7, a forgotten archive robot that wakes inside Array CA-1, a megastructure built to save a dying star. Four hundred years have passed outside, but only minutes have passed in some rooms. Shift the world between red and blue time, fight what the failed experiment left behind, and piece together what happened.
At the heart of the game is one button. Phase shift flips the whole world between a slow red phase and a fast blue phase. Platforms, paths, hazards, secrets and even enemies exist in one or the other, and some upgrades do one thing in red and another in blue. You'll recover lost memories to restore ARC-7's abilities, take on precise, readable melee combat, and piece together the story from echoes of the past. What you uncover decides which endings are open to you.
It's quiet, atmospheric and a little melancholy, with an ambient synth score. We're designing it to be accessible from the start, with Story, Normal and Hard modes you can change at any time, subtitles, flash reduction, adjustable game speed, full rebinding, colourblind presets, and phases that differ in shape and sound as well as colour.
We're building it in Unreal Engine 5. It's still early in development, so platforms and timing will come later. Project Redshift is a codename.
We'll share more when there's something to show. Follow the announcements feed to hear about it first.
